The deserved adulation of Mariano Rivera's historic career continued with Nike delivering a custom product pack to the closer. The theme was "Sierra Circular" or "circular saw" with inscriptions on the jacket, glove and box. The theme was named after his famous pitch, the cutter which he famously used for his entire career. A great way to send off a legend. Here are some photos of the gear. All photos via Nike.

After 19 Hall of Fame seasons, Mariano Rivera has thrown his final pitch at Yankee Stadium.
With the New York Yankees trailing the Tampa Bay Rays by four runs in the top of the eighth inning on Thursday night, manager Joe Girardi slowly walked to the mound and called for the righty.
For the last time ever, "Enter Sandman" blared on the Yankee Stadium speakers, and Mo made his famous entrance.
Take a look at the chill-inducing moment:
Naturally, Rivera proceeded to retire the next four batters in order, and with two outs in ...
Yankee Stadium has seen its last of Mariano Rivera, the best closer in MLB history.
Rivera came into the game with one out in the eighth inning to help get the Yankees out of a jam with runners on first and second. It's a situation he had been in many times before, and he was happy to help out one more time.
The Rays were already up on the Yankees 4-0, but that didn't matter. It was about Rivera getting the Yankees out of one final jam in Yankee Stadium in front ...
Dear Mariano Rivera: In the immortal words of T.I., you can have whatever you like.
And luckily for the New York Yankees, the legendary closer—for all that he has done for the organization—doesn't want stacks on deck. He doesn't even want Patron on ice.
All he wants to do is play center field.
OK, so Rivera hasn't actually publicly asked to play center. He simply laughed and said "we'll see" when asked about it, according to the New York Daily News' Peter Botte and Anthony McCarron. But per CBS Sports' Mike Axisa, manager Joe ...
Robinson Cano wants to be the highest-paid player in MLB at over $300 million over 10 years.
According to ESPN's Buster Olney (Insider subscription required), Cano is seeking a deal worth $305 million. It's the same amount Alex Rodriguez would receive if he reached all of his built-in incentives.
The Yankees believe they made an aggressive offer in spring training and will be open to more contract talks with the second baseman. At the same time, they will prepare for the possibility that he will play elsewhere next season.
After seeing the way Rodriguez has performed ...
On Thursday evening, Mariano Rivera will make his final appearance in Yankee Stadium, allowing the crowd to salute him during one last rendition of Enter Sandman. If the 2013 Rivera Farewell Tour has felt like it's moved at a glacial place, don't fret. The end is near. For Rivera's final Yankee team, the season won't continue through October. Thus, unless you expect something magical in three meaningless games against the Houston Astros, the great moments in Rivera's career have come to an end.The body of work, which will undoubtedly lead to ...
If the reports are true and Robinson Cano really is seeking a 10-year, $300-plus million contract, this wasn't the beginning of a contract negotiation between the All-Star second baseman and the New York Yankees. It was a ransom demand.
It also may be the beginning of the end of Cano's tenure in the Bronx.
In case you haven't heard by now, Buster Olney of ESPN.com (subscription required) is reporting the above terms as what Cano, a free agent at season's end, wants for his next deal. Here's the money part—both literally and figuratively—of what Olney wrote:
According to ...
It's been a trying season for the New York Yankees, as they have dealt with injuries and various distractions all season and will miss the playoffs for just the second time since 1994.
However, the real story of the year has been the farewell tour for legendary closer Mariano Rivera, who announced during spring training that he would retire at the end of the season.
Teams league-wide have honored him with gifts and tributes in his final go-around to the majority of all 30 major league stadiums. The Yankees even went all ...
The New York Yankees have been officially eliminated from playoff contention after 157 games.
This marks just the second time in the wild-card era that the Yankees have failed to make the postseason, as MLB's most successful franchise will have to watch the playoffs from home this year.
Yankees are officially eliminated from postseason with Cleveland's win over Chicago. Just 2nd time in 19 years NY has missed playoffs.

The Yankees will try to avoid repeating their mistakes in 2014, but it won't be easy. The team is ...
Robinson Cano is the biggest free agent of the winter—we all know that. The New York Yankees will certainly look to re-sign him, as the perennial MVP candidate will be nearly impossible to replace.
That being said, general manager Brian Cashman may end up looking for a replacement if another team sweeps in and offers Cano an exorbitant amount of money. The Yankees have already stated that Cano is not a "re-sign at all costs" kind of player—you can debate that amongst yourselves—and an asking price of over $200 million will ...
