1903 - The Boston Pilgrims top the visiting New York Highlanders by a score of 12-5, with a little help from Umpire Caruthers, who tosses out Highlanders P Jesse Tannehill and 2B Williams for a ball call at home.

1930 - The New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers outfielders make only 2 putouts for an record, which has never been equaled. Tiger's hurler George Uhle strikes out 8 batters in winning by the score of 5-4, and dropping the Yankees to 7th place. Hank Johnson (7 innings) and George Pipgras are the Yankee hurlers.
