New York Yankees: 23 Years Later, Lou Pinella Dons the Pinstripes Once Again

Joe Girardi has not been fired...though I still stand by my previous stance.

On June 26, as the Yankees finish a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies, something that has not been seen since 1988 will occur at Yankee Stadium.

Former Yankees outfielder and manager Lou Pinella will be wearing pinstripes once again as he makes his first appearance as a Yankee in 23 years.

It's Old-Timer's Day folks, and Sweet Lou isn't the only one making his first appearance.

Bernie Williams will once again put on his familiar No. 51 and roam center field, although this is a new center field then the plot of grass he claimed ownership of for a decade.
