A-Rod suffered a broken hand after getting hit by a pitch in Tuesday night's game against the Mariners, an injury that will force him out for 4-8 weeks.
If it's the full eight weeks that A-Rod had to be out for, that puts him out until the end of September, maybe even into October.
Now the Yankees have to decide what to do at the hot corner. They could go with Eric Chavez, but that would deplete their bench, something Chavez strengthens.
