MLB Prospects: Minor League Pitchers Who Have Struggled to Begin the 2012 Season

we’re now nearly 20 games into the minor league baseball season, there are a slew of notable players who are on fire at various levels. Earlier today, I identified some of the hottest pitchers throughout the minor leagues.

But for every pitching prospect off to a blistering start, there's one who has struggled mightily to begin the 2012 season. So, here's a look at some of the more disappointing pitching performances at Double-A, High-A and Low-A to open the 2012 season.

 

Triple-A

Dellin Betances, RHP, New York Yankees

4 GS, 0-2, 17.1 IP, 8.83 ERA, 2.19 WHIP, 16 K/17 BB

His control issues are at an all-time worst.

 

Chris Archer, RHP, Tampa Bay Rays
