York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera was hoping to get his torn ACL repaired sooner rather than later in order to begin rehabilitation and prepare for the 2013 season. Unfortunately, things are not going as planned for the future Hall of Famer.
According to George King of the New York Post, doctors found a complication that prevents them from operating on the knee at this time.
“We ran into complications,’’ agent Fernando Cuza told The Post. “I am referring to Dr. Ahmad and [Yankees general manager] Brian Cashman for further information.’’
