an interesting turn of events, Johnny Damon spoke out on his current unemployment.
Jon Heyman reported that Damon does not understand why he has not received any calls to play baseball in 2012. He spoke about his potential role in the Bronx if the New York Yankees gave him a call.
"I think it's a perfect fit,'' Damon told Heyman. "But for some reason you have the year I had, especially with a team that has trouble scoring, and you can't even get a call to continue playing."
Damon hit 16 home runs last season with 73 RBI and 19 stolen bases. And he did not even receive an offer from the Tampa Bay Rays to continue playing for them.
