Chris Young Becomes 2nd Player to Homer for Mets and Yankees in Same Season

York Yankees outfielder Chris Young hit his ninth home run of the season on Wednesday evening, becoming only the second player to hit a home run for both the Yankees and the New York Mets in the same season. Young matched the feat first accomplished almost four decades ago by Dave Kingman in 1977, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Young started the 2014 season with the Mets after signing a one-year deal with them in the offseason for a reported $7.25 million. He played in 88 games for the 'Amazins, hitting a lowly .205 with an equally miserable .283 on-base percentage and .346 slugging percentage.
