Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte had a setback in a simulated game Friday and will join the team Saturday in Kansas City for further evaluations.
Joe Girardi said Pettitte could only push off at 75 percent in a 50-pitch simulated game at Tampa. He said Pettitte would not make a minor league rehab start Monday or Tuesday next week.
Pettitte has not pitched since July 18 because of a strained left groin. Pettitte was 11-2 with a 2.88 ERA in 18 starts before going on the disabled list.
