MLB Trade Rumors: Trade for Ty Wigginton Is Not Yankees’ Answer to Replace A-Rod

Rodriguez was seen writhing on the ground in pain after being hit in the left hand with a pitch on Tuesday before leaving the game. As it turns out will be sidelined for a month or more with a fractured hand, and the New York Yankees are looking for a suitable replacement.

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, Philadelphia Phillies' third baseman Ty Wigginton is among the players who could be on New York's radar, but the Yankees must avoid trading for him, despite the desire to make a move quickly.

Wigginton would mean wasting a prospect in a trade, and he would struggle to the point where he wouldn't even be playing in New York.
