David Robertson Spoils David Phelps’ Strong Start, as Yankees Fall to Rays 4-1

David Robertson was shaky in his first save of the season on Tuesday night against the Rays, but he completely failed to record the save on Wednesday night.

David Phelps, in the second start of his career, let up zero runs in five innings.

The combination of Boone Logan, Cory Wade and Rafael Soriano then held the Rays scoreless until the top of the ninth, when Robertson entered with a 1-0 lead.

Robertson proceeded to allow four runs, three of which came on a home run by Matt Joyce.

He lasted just 0.2 innings, as Clay Rapada came in to the get the final out of the ninth.
