Yankees opened up their spring training slate of games today with a semi-impressive 11-0 win over South Florida
The only reason I say "semi-impressive" is because, well, they played a college team.
Almost every regular starter played in the game, with the exception of catcher Russell Martin and second basemen Robinson Cano.
Cano is still recovering from the loss of his grandmother, so he was given the day off.
The game was your typical early spring game, with the regulars only seeing one or two at-bats.
Left fielder Zoilo Almonte was very impressive for the Yankees, recording two hits, four RBI and a run scored in two at-bats. He also drew a walk.
